The A.N. Belozersky Institute of PCB from the first day of foundation has become an important scientific and educational MSU center. During the lifetime of the Institute its researchers have published about 3500 papers with average citation of about 15. The Institute is equipped with modern scientific instruments witch is enlarging and upgrading regularly.
Our employers talk lections, conduct seminars and workshops for students of different faculties of MSU and other Moscow universities. Several Centers of Science and Education work on the base of the PCB Institute in cooperation to MSU Faculty of Bioengeneering and Bioinformatics.

The workshop aims to give biologists practical knowledge and hands-on programming skills in support of high-thoughput phylogenetics, functional genomics, and phyloinformatics, using scripting languages that include Perl, Ruby, and SQL. Instruction is in English and participants are encouraged to bring their own computers.

9 марта 2012 года трагически погиб Денис Сергеевич Изюмов. Окончив в 2001 году Биологический факультет МГУ, он более 10 лет проработал в НИИ ФХБ имени А.Н.Белозерского. Все друзья и коллеги знали его как доброго и отзывчивого человека, всегда готового прийти на помощь. Память о нем навсегда останется в наших сердцах.
